FALL RIVER, Mass. — Federal immigration officers arrested a 20-year-old Haitian illegal immigrant facing child sex crime charges during a vehicle stop in Fall River, Massachusetts, ICE announced.
Pierre Andy Jean-Louis faces three pending criminal charges: possession of child pornography, indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, and extortion by threat of injury. Officers from ICE’s Boston field office took Jean-Louis into custody July 18.
“There is no person more disturbing than one who stands accused of preying upon the most innocent members of our communities,” said acting ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston Field Office Director David Wesling. “ICE Boston will continue to prioritize public safety by working tenaciously to remove alleged child sex predators from our New England neighborhoods.”
U.S. Customs and Border Protection first encountered Jean-Louis after he entered the United States on Sept. 24, 2024, at Nogales, Arizona. CBP released him on a two-year parole — a status that allowed him to remain in the country while facing no immediate removal proceedings. He was living in Massachusetts when local criminal charges were filed.
ICE officers served Jean-Louis with a notice to appear before a Department of Justice immigration judge. The agency said he will receive full due process under federal immigration laws.
The arrest follows a pattern of ICE enforcement actions in New England targeting illegal immigrants with serious criminal charges. Jean-Louis’s case is scheduled for immigration court proceedings, where a judge will determine his removal status.
